My new sounds:

Today is Palm Sunday, or Passion Sunday, when Western Christians celebrate Jesus’ Entry into Jerusalem. The event is recounted in all four Gospels and marks the first day of Holy Week (Mt. 21:1-10; Mk. 11:1-11; Lk. 19: 28-40; Jn. 12: 12-19). As the first of the so-called Passion Scenes, The Entry Into Jerusalem appears frequently in Italian narratives where artists captured the jubilation of the crowd, who shouted “Hosanna, blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord."  Onlookers acclaim Jesus, who rides on a humble donkey in fulfillment of prophesy, and pave the way with their cloaks and palm branches. Artists typically show young boys climbing trees for a better view, a motif inherited from Byzantine art.

From World Atlas of UFOs

Our podcast this week is coming from outer space, courtesy of Unknown To The Unknown head honcho DJ Haus. Known for his penchant for unique sounds though his label and his own releases, the producer/DJ/label boss has a lot on his plate; stacked with tremendous tunes pretty much every second of every day. One wonder how he has time to put it all together, let alone crack on to make a mix; and yet he delivered quite possibly the most fun mix for our podcast series in quite some time. DJ Haus brings the heat here with tons of wacky, wild and walloping rhythms from start to finish in this mix for URB. Going between the likes of his own material to some truly booming tunes from DJ Vague, Ratchett Traxxx and the trio of POL Style, Vin Sol & Matrixxman, he takes hold of our attention and doesn’t let it go until we’re ready to exhale. Truthfully, we shouldn’t be able to after the workout this mix is giving us. We hope you feel the same. Check out the fantastic mix, with a tracklist down below.
